Last night's youth group meeting was full of information for its members. Vincentians Rob Greuling and Rich and Debbie Garcia spoke to the youth about The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and how the youth can help by participating in Friends of the Poor Walk/Run on September 29th.
Alderman Mike Impey talked about his experience in law enforcement and the 9/11 attacks. He explained the importance of support from the community for law enforcement and all first responders; although it's not expected.
Deacon Michael also spoke about his personal connection to those in New York on September 11, 2001, and the effects that tragic event still has on the community.
Afterward, the youth made bags of trail mix to take to the Ocean Springs Police and Fire departments. Some of our members delivered the packages to the departments after the meeting.
