Christians receive a vocation (a calling by God) in, and through, the sacrament of Baptism. Their first and lifelong call is to follow God's Will in the world. Catholics are individually called to specific states in life such as Christian marriage, priesthood, single life and religious life. The way we discover God's will for us, whatever our vocation may be, is through a process called discernment.
